Many thanks for the report-it confirms my suspicions that I would have to spend either quite a lot of money or a lot of time to bring it up to scratch. I am still undecided whether or not to proceed with the transaction; it depends a lot on market conditions over the next couple of weeks. I am not intending to make an offer at this stage.
I learnt a lot on Saturday about small boat construction and I would like to thank you for your patience and good humour as well as your obvious professionalism. If I need advice or another survey in the future I shall undoubtedly be in touch.

Many thanks for conducting a thorough survey again! This time I've bought the boat, I was able to get a few jobs done but the boat yard and the owner were not for moving very much (I think they had another buyer) I had confirmation that the boat has been service in March of this year. They agreed to do a few of the jobs but I've had to pay for the anti-foul.
Many thanks once again and next time you are up in the lakes with your wife please contact so we can arrange an afternoon out on the lake (weather permitting J).
